Separate and Apart Deadhead-Not notified to combine (pre ’85 only) -- GCA Code 20

 

Allow 130 miles separate and apart deadhead account not notified, prior to being relieved on the service portion of the trip, to combine the deadhead to final terminal with previous service.  I was called at TP090 for 0300 hrs on train MPBFW-30, secured train at TP202 at 1100hrs, and deadheaded to TP250 via limo with FTU at 1500hrs. I was on duty __hrs. __ min. on the service portion of the trip.

NOTE: If it is intended that the deadhead be combined with prior service, then you must be notified of that fact prior to being relieved on the service portion of the trip. If not so notified to combine, then the deadhead is separate and apart.

 

NOTE: The time expended on the service portion of the trip must be less than 10 hours for this claim to be good. In the sample claim above, the service trip on train MPBFW-30 was from 0300hrs to 1100hrs.

 

REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION FOR SUCCESSFUL ADJUDICATION

 
  1. Copy of transaction log or board standing showing original call time and train ID.
  2. Copy of your HOS report (MUST be filled out correctly and completely        showing all the times and circ7 and/or mileposts for the service and deadhead portions of the trip).

  1. Copy of the limo report showing deadhead (=LD-insert calling area-I).
