Road crew making excessive moves-Intermediate Point with
Yard crews on duty -- GCA Claim Code

I was on duty at TP448 on train MFWEP-20 called for 0600hrs 05/20/02. We were required by Dispatcher ABC to make the following moves at TP513 while yard crews were employed and on duty. Please allow a basic day’s penalty. 1) Set out lines 1-10 to yd1 trk002 at 0900hrs. 2) Set out lines 2-20 to yd1 trk003 at 0915hrs. 3) Pick up 10 cars (MP300401 plus nine others) from yd1 trk004 at 0930hrs. 4) Pick up 2 cars (SP44907 plus one other) from yd1 trk005 at 1000hrs. ______________________________________________________________________ NOTE 1: For this claim to be good, you must make in excess of three (3) moves at an intermediate point where yard engines are employed and on duty. If any of the moves are necessary doubleovers due to track capacity, then the entire move including the doubleovers, counts as one (1) move regardless of the number of tracks used to affect the setout and/or pickup. (i.e. In move #1, track 002 will not hold the entire 10 car setout and you have to double to track 006 and track 001 to complete the setout). NOTE 2: Additionally, if you make any move that is not a straight pickup or setout (i.e. you pickup cars that are behind cars already in the tracks or setout cars behind cars that are already in the tracks) then that is an agreement violation that stands alone and is worthy of a penalty claim for making an improper move. The move needs to be documented in the same manner as the claim for making an excessive number of moves. |
